'The Dancing' is the most memorable of the tracks to feature on last years self titled record from Glasgow's Remember Remember. I really like this track a lot. It's a collage of looped drums and accordion backed by a frenzy of delayed guitars and ambient vocal chants. It's a insistent little number that nags at you like the best of Kraut rockers Neu and some of the older Animal collective tracks. The momentum of the track is what gives it such an appeal, you could dance to this at the disco or just trip out at home on the couch and this would still work in your favour. 'Imagining Things (re-imagined by Findo Gask)' is a modern sounding remix effort from Findo Gisk who i think has knocked out some stuff for Optimo. It's pure 'Speaking in tongues' era Talking heads that attempts to carefully balance 70's Disco and funk without coming of sounding like cheese balls. They half get away with it which is good enough for me. Good lads.
