Right what's next then.... Lydia Lunch's 'Big Sexy Noise' with James Johnston, Terry Edwards and Ian White (The Gallon Drunk geezers). This limited mini-album has a "sexy side" and a "noisy side". I hit the sexy one first and it delivers the promise, as this is just pure sleaze rock with guitar squeal and utter filthy vibes. 'Bad for Bobby' evokes a    jazz singer in a seedy club singing to a load of wasted men who are putty in the hands of the temptress. The sax just adds to the overall vibe and on 'The Gospel' singer things get even heavier with dirty riffs and Lydia sounding like she'd turn you to stone if you as much caught a glimpse of her. I can imagine her bumping and grinding to the saxophone. She sound's well nasty. Brian reckons this is what the Kills should sound like if they weren't such pussy's. If you're a Gallon Drunk fan or a Lunch lover then I'd say this record of glorious dirge was pretty darn essential as they're all on top form here. Out on Sartorial records.
