Having to review a new Cornershop 7" first thing in the morning is really upsetting, not just because it's well dodgy (naturally, it's by Cornershop and it's not 'Brimful of Asha') but more because its unprecedented use of harcore irritation powers make it really hard to know where to start. Is the clever-clever lyrical wordiness the worst thing? Perhaps the bass playing, which Business Lady has proclaimed "the worst ever"? Who knows. 'The Roll Off Characteristics of History in the Making' is what this thing is called.

Sounds of the summer and then some! Listen to the intro with the sitar and the brass on a sunny day and I defy you not to smile. The 'Texas Instruments and English diction,' thing could mean many things - a comment on the ubiquity of the PC? An attack on Mr. Bush? Either way, if you don't love it, you're either very old, not very bright or quite quite dead.
