OK then, there's lots of shit going on with this Koen Park double CD. Lots of details. It's a double CDr set packaged in one of those flippy jewel case things with designy artwork and each disc is individually numbered in a highly professional-looking manner. Koen Park (aka Ian Hawgood) runs the Home Normal label who put out those lovely Celer and Library Tapes releases a few weeks back that literally flew out the door. Literally. We use flying monkeys on anything considered a 'large letter' now. We used to put lipstick on them for fun until I got a bit too close to one of our best workers. I spoil everything. The first disc has loads of people (including but certainly not limited to Das Rote Telefon, Isocore, Phasen and Milieu) remixing his stuff and the second has him remixing other people's stuff (including but certainly not limited to All Apologies, Tidy Kid, Entertainment For The Braindead and Mall Security). It's the kind of thing review nightmares are made of so I'll just have to attempt to offer up a very general summary - lovely, bright, breezy bedroomy electronica that can't help but remind us of various stages of Boards of Canada's career.. Bit of early Seefeel too. It's nice. Too nice for work really 'cos it's making me drift off and think about the glorious sunshine outside. Oh yeah, one last detail is that it's on I, Absentee and it's limited to 100 copies. That's two. And it's called Remixes, Reworkings and Reimaginings. Somebody please stop me.
