9/10 gbar Customer review, 13th April 2017
Initially seen as a step backwards from its predecessor 'Autobahn', Radio-Activity plays out like a cryptic, yet well orchestrated educational film about the history of radioactivity, yet the title track is the only time the topic of radioactivity is put forward. The rest of the tracks focuses on the activity of radios (hence the album title being a sneaky pun on the part of the band), such as "Antenna" "Airwaves" and "Radioland". From the static gurgles of "Geiger Counter" to the somber, yet gleeful "Ohm Sweet Ohm". Like much of their albums, Kraftwerk takes you on a journey, even if it gives you such a feeling of being trapped among the inner workings of a radio.
