Fridge were well smart in their time. Keiran Hebden, Sam Jeffers and Adem Ilhan made some wicked records in their time (up to and including EPH anyway). Temporary Residence have cobbled together a compilation of early Fridge tracks called Early Output 1996-1998. Which is a obviously a well clever pun as their early output was on Output. I bet whoever thought of the title got the rest of the day off. The album is 20 tracks long with 14 being previously released and 6 brand new unreleased tracks. The previously released tracks seem to be all on the Ceefax and Sevens and Twelves albums. So if you've got them you're paying for 6 brand new tracks. which is a decent amount of tracks to get if you're a Fridge collector. Quality electronic/ post rock/experimental rock/fuck knows instrumental music. I kind of think they were ahead of their times Fridge. A lot of the tracks have a real groove going on which is making Brett shake his ass with hilarious comedy effect. This is making me feel all nostalgic and it's great to hear all these tunes again. Excellent!
