Intriguing post Fly-Lo 12" in on Ninja Tune by Shuttle (formerly known as Boston producer/rmxr Etan) 'Tunnel' has got this real cosmic dubstep thing going on, a tad spaced out & bloopy with a little bit of a morphing disco atmosphere, a spot of bouncy garagey wobble. It's a tremendous piece of euphoric fun & a fine piece of production at that. Overall one of the best hybrid anthems i've heard for a while, really interesting and multi hued. The 'High Rankin' remix reminds me of some of the grimiest Lo-Dubs stuff or Enduser's clubbier moments, mechanical, slow-stomping & gritty with a vicious dark groove. The flip features two versions of 'Rotten Guts', the first a bouncy electro-hop anthem ft. a fine skit from Cadence Weapon (love the chipmunked samples & soulful electronic melodies on this tune) followed by a sympathetic instrumental rendition. Top wax from the Ninjas....
