Moscow 1980 / The Dignity of Labour Pt. III (Fred Deakin mixes) by Manicured Noise / The Human League

Here's an odd 7" single by Manicured Noise and Human League remixed by Fred Deakin from Lemon Jelly limited to 500 copies on the Caroline True label (home to The Nightingales). I think both of these tunes have appeared in Fred's Tryptyche mix if you're interested. Presumerably you are as you're reading...The Manicured Noise tune is a great post punk funk sounding instrumental along the lines of Pigbag and Maximum Joy .They're an old new wave band from Manchester and their tune (Moscow 1980) was more than likely recorded in 1980 I'd guess. They don't call me private dick for nothing... actually they normally just call me dick but I like to imagine their quietly saying private as well....It's a cracking little tune and it doesn't sound like it's been played around with too much to be honest. The flipside is The Dignity of Labour Part Three which has really kept the essence of the original but with a slight New Beat feel to it. It's a really good single. There I said it! In Fred Deakin designed sleeve on white wax. Cocking marvellous!
