I think Arbol are up to their 3rd album and I couldn't tell you a thing about 'em aside from they're Spanish (I think). OK so I can't even tell you that. What sort of reviewer am I? Piss poor I think you'll find. Anyway I'm enjoying this album by them. It's all new to me and I like hearing new artists which aren't shit (there's a lot of gash out there...). 'You Travelled my Heart Inside Out' kicks off and it reminds me of Piano Magic crossed with Murcof. Weird gothy sounding folky soundtracky gear with some early style Murcof clicks and beats. It's surprisingly good actually. Lots of tinkly electronics, plenty of clicks and cuts, mardy strings, some delicious piano and the occasional delicious vocal (though it's largely instrumental). This sounds like it should have come out on Make Mine Music. It's absolutely gorgeous and I can't recommend it enough!! Comes in a fancy trifold digipak or whatever you call 'em. CD only on Lejos Discs from Spain.
