A lovely-looking LP on Other Electricities now, a split between Gultskra Artikler (whose side is called Berezka) and Lanterns (Monkey Lament). The former's side is a clangy old ambienty eerie dronish impovisathon that reminds me a little of The No-Neck Blues Band, it's like an abandoned building that's got a ghost running through it with a smoke machine. Lanterns take the Eastern flavors that are hinted at in the Gultskra Artikler side and really run with them on 'Dir Tup', a pretty acid-folk jam made by people who clearly smoke scimitars and shit in mirages. Their other track is a fair bit different, sounding very like some of the tracks from the recent Windy & Carl LP. We like this one! And the fact that it comes with a CD!
