Shortwave Set. I remember they used to be quite good fun in a funky acid jazz hobo psychedelic blues way. Now they've put out this new 'Glitches n Bugs' 7" on Wall of Sound which is possibly the worst British label of all time, bar Skint records. Or Weekender. I've played it twice & it's a plodding indie-soul abomination with dull lackluster girl boy vocals that sound as mundane as deciding what kind of drain cleaner to buy from Wilkinson's on a Sunday before taking the screaming rent-a-tantrum bags of clothes destroying ragamuffins you call your family to the wacky Warehouse for a turgid "roast" & halves of watery stones bitter on erm....a rainy Sunday. In the suburbs of Wrexham. Or Dagenham. Produced by Danger Mouse. I think Penfold would have done a better job. He's currently sat here drying out in a Royal Mail sack after being splashed to fuck in the snow all morning by evil Leeds bus drivers. Poor wee lamb.
