Neil Landstrumm is one of my current faves. He's a total mid-90's techno pioneer with an amazing pedigree of sought after wonky techno classics under his belt. Neil Landstrumm is one of my current faves. He's a total mid-90's techno pioneer with an amazing pedigree of sought after wonky techno classics under his belt. These days he's pushing the boundaries a bit further, combining electro & grime/dubstep influences into a sinister yet fun packed bass heavy concoction that sounds like no one else. New album 'Lord for £39' is wedged full of his quirky synth lines, wonky stepping beats, quickfire snare cracks, elastic bass & even some distorted toasting from a slightly crackers MC. Landstrumm builds some serious weighty dancefloor burners on here that are maybe not suitable for the purist elitist but certainly moved my honky butt when I saw him live the other week. A nice mixture of dark & light shades with some excellent programming makes for a party contender for sure. Planet Mu CD/multi vinyl.
