A most pleasant surprise to see KK Null popping up on Neurot with the 'Oxygen Flash' Album. This is a prime example of his recent direction with the brilliant rhythmic synth riffs and intense and sometimes pulverizing frequencies. The range of sounds on offer from Null never disappoints. There are some fantastic bubbling liquid metal sounds on the opener. And then on the second track I imagine an enormous robot crashing through the streets of tokyo, destroying everything in its path, buildings blazing and lazer firing and ricocheting off of huge skyscrapers. What I like about this music is that it's really open to interpretation and the journey you take with it is only limited by your imagination. I like the percussive hits on track 4 which I think are just synth hits and then a massive all consuming noise comes in making me imagine I'm on some alien craft being abducted which sounds corny. I bet you think I'm some of sacrifice nerd. Followers and enthusiasts of the great mans work will enjoy this one. Recommended.
