Bet it's not breezy in Portugal. That's where Tropa Macaca hail from. On Qbico, master label of impeccably packaged avant wax, 'Fiterias Suadas' is a fascinating listen. Rhoobarb & Custard techno minimalism meets gnarly shards of fuzz & juddering schizo bass frequencies that just wander all over the shop, lunging & looming like an old whisky sodden priest hassling a choir boy for benson & hedges butt-ends. There's a little bit of mid-period Black Dice in here, that freeform, organic chirruping feel, like an analogue zoo glued to a spacehopper. It's an hypnotic, meandering ride, truly ace and I ain't got to side 2 yet. Just mark my words, if you dig weird outsider techno then these two space babies are your dream ticket!
