More electronica. This week I seem to have it quite literally falling out of my arse. Incredible. Here's a self titled CD by Alpha Aesar which is that thing I just said. Electronica. It's 20 tracks of nice electro/ electronic pop which is really reminiscent of the Suction label (which they site as a reference). I can hear bits of the early indietronica which came out on Morr (Herrmann & Kleine etc) on some of the tunes. Apparently this is ten years in the making which kind of makes sense as some of this does sound pretty old. It's a nice album though and when it got played in the orifice the other day I remember thinking that I enjoyed more it than I thought I would which is always a pleasant surprise as I pretty much hate everything these days. It's not trying to be flashy though... it's just honest to goodness music and that approach always endears me to liking things. It also includes remixes by Lowfish and Coppice Halifax (Milieu!)
