First up the new Lambchop album called OH (Ohio). Its a shame about Lambchop. I've enjoyed a healthy percentage of their music over the years but of late its just been too boring. First up the new Lambchop album called OH (Ohio). Its a shame about Lambchop. I've enjoyed a healthy percentage of their music over the years but of late its just been too boring. If you weren't listening it would sound fine but when you are listening you realise that there is nothing actually happening and in Brett's words "they are just singing the same song over and over again". This new album does have a few highlights -one is the sleeve where a Noel Edmonds/Wayne Coyne lookalike appears to be tweaking the breast of a woman. Once you get past the first five soundalike songs there are one are two beautiful ones where Lambchop remember that you have to accompany nice acoustic strumming and baritone vocals with actual songs you can remember and I realise again why I give them a fair chance on each album. So once again a frustrating affair but it does reward the patient listener with a handful of lovely songs but be warned - you are going to have to work for them.
