Phil wanted to know why i'd written "logs" on our promo for the Sean O'Hagan & Jean-Pierre Muller. I really don't know why 'cos listening to it today, it's rather a treat. It's a project they've both embarked on which involves a gallery exhibit of "musical paintings" which appears to be an interactive concept based on the painting having multiple panels, some of which respond to touch so you can "remix" the work at your leisure. The music on this CD is like a magical, playful soundtrack full of wonder & mischief. In parts psychedelic, in others slightly eerie but mainly it's a tapestry of all enveloping, gliding, burbling, plinking easy listening with some gorgeous effects & an awesome attention to detail. i'd like this piped into many space buggy's quadraphonic sound system as i'm cruising round the rings of Saturn, baby. Lovely stuff in a posh hardback book, no doubt packed with gallery pictures. An uber coffee table must-have! On the consistently interesting Drag City.
