I've also got one of these lovely Time Lag LPs to review, it's by a gentleman called Bill Quick who's chipmunk-esque visage adorns the cover so you can kiss it if you're lonely or perhaps cut it out and use it as a mask while you play guitar in your mirror, hoping that the power of old acid-folk will send you back to a more innocent time. Although it'd be a shame to do that to such a thick, high-quality sleeve. Just scan it and wear that if you feel the need, or blow up our jpeg so it goes all pixellated and terrifying. Maravillosa Gentle starts off with a bit of a rocker that's got a slight Krautrock vibe to it, like some of Hans-Joachim Roedelius' solo stuff. After that it mostly drives up and down the street where Bob Dylan and Cat Stevens live, blaring it's little Brazilian horn and leaking oil all over their prize-winning flower displays while they look on in horror. It's cool stuff that occasionally goes a bit funky, occasionally a bit country and even featuring a bit of cheesy porn organ. Not that porn organ. Great stuff!
