10/10 Tom Customer review, 16th August 2018
Is Siamese Dream the best rock album of the 90s? Quite possibly. Putting aside Billy Corgan's ego-mania and dodgy gothic poetry, he's written some bloody great songs and many of his best appear here. From the anthemic 'Cherub Rock' and 'Today', to the sullen 'Disarm' and 'Spaceboy', to the balls-out rock of 'Quiet' and 'Geek USA', Siamese Dream is full of wonders, guitar heroics and some of the best drumming in all of 90's alt-rock and grunge, courtesy of Mr Jimmy Chamberlin. The fact that I've already listed six songs without naming some of the best ('Hummer', 'Mayonnaise', 'Rocket') is testament to how great this album is. Yes, the voice may make or break it for you, but I'd argue that Billy is at the height of his vocal powers here without too many of the grating affectations that would come later. Simply a great, great album.
9/10 Missing Planet Customer review, 9th October 2014
This record doesn't need a big review. As long as you can stand Billy Corgan's voice, then every fan of loud guitar music should own it. It's the Smashing Pumpkins best and one of the finest the whole Grunge/Alternative scene produced. But if you don't like that voice then you probably won't make it through one listen.
