Another cool cover here, maybe because I picked the ones with the best covers. Inca Ore's 'Brute Nature Vs. Wild Magic' LP is more interesting than I can realistically hope to convey in the frighteningly small amount of time I have to review it. From what I can tell they're something of an avant-garde vocal group doing weird harmonizing something like Bjork's Medulla album but filtered through more of a leftfield indie sort of of sensibility. Maybe if you crossed Medulla with They Were Wrong, So We Drowned by Liars you'd end up somewhere around here.. It's definitely got some of that witch in the woods thang to it. Brian reckons it's like a more vocal Scorces. The backings are sparse and minimal, there's lots of dead air which is always an admirably brave thing to have on a record. This is really interesting stuff. Phil told me to write 'spectral'. Spectral.
