Got some heavy improv jazz gear from the superbly named Goalkeeper Wanted. 'Mouth Of Cherries' Lots of disjointed and abstract drum clattering and guitar twanging. Defiantly shifting into odd time signature, it sounds chaotic and a deliciously messy... Hahaha I just clocked the press release and it says that it was performed wearing boxing gloves. The metallic percussion strikes sound particularly good. At one point it sounds like the international chinese table tennis team are intensely whacking ping pong balls all over the place. The piece shifts in dynamics throughout with the introduction of various strange sounds. A total avant- garde free jam with some very cool moments. If you like it out there then this is worth a blast. On Void of Ovals which I'm told is the chap from Eftus spectun's label. Speaking of free jam and cherries. The other week on Anglesey I paid £3.50 for a jar of locally made jam. I had some on toast this morning and the flavour nearly seperated my head from my torso. I never knew a cherry preserve could taste so fine.
