The Lucky Dragons have a new album out. We actually had an import of this a few weeks ago (which we still have a handful of in stock) but we didn't get chance to review it. So here's a UK version of 'Dream Island Laughing Language' on the smart Upset The Rhythm label. Those with memories better than those of fish will remember we did give Lucky Dragons single of the week about 2 years ago (ish). They're a tapped band.... Impossible music to describe... Weird percussive nonsense that is emminenetly appealing. At times it sounds like a load of folks around a campfire with some stuff that they're clattering together seemingly randomly. Though random it ain't... there's some complex rhythms and electronic textures going on in there. Stick with this though as there's ample richness to be had throughout. Maybe fans of the Sublime Frequencies stuff will like this. That's what I think anyway!
