Aside from being a glorious sweet and vitamin C packed orange vegetable the humble carrot has had it's name nicked by a motley crew of musicians called The Carrots. They're on Elefant Records and looking at the pic on the front of the sleeve they look like the happiest band I've ever scene in my life. I'd like to think it's not forced and they are genuinely that happy. All dressed in black and red and smiling everywhere. How could you not like 'em? The woman on the left looks well crazy mind you! For your sins you get 4 tracks of 50's inspired indie pop music. Not quite as twee as I originally thought it would be though you folks who like Camera Obscura/ The Pipettes will like this I reckon. I was amazed to find out they're from Texas though. Overall it's a fun EP!
