Funeral for a Friend next. They do that earnest furrowed brow emo-metal like Lostprophets and all that don't they? They've had 9 top twenty hits apparently. 'Waterfront Dance Club' may be their tenth. I like the solid rock drums and all the fake drama that makes ghoul faced kids punch the air. The guitars collide seamlessly and playfully making lots of pretty, tuneful patterns and the whole thing comes across as pretty solid, anthemic modern radio rock, well produced and dynamic. It's a limited powder blue vinyl is this and to be utterly truthful, I really didn't mind it one iota although it made me feel a little old, like. Gimme Mastodon personally, they've got big hairy balls innit!!!
