Tropical Trash / Alcohol Party

Temporary: Selections From Dunedin’s Pop Underground 2011-2014

The tiny city of Dunedin, located in the Otago Region of New Zealand, is synonymous with smart bands, incredible melodies and a wholly distinct and innovative music. Thanks to The Clean, The Chills, The Bats, The Verlaines, and The Dead C, Dunedin has amassed a worldwide reputation for innovative music. Local label Fishrider Records has taken on the mission of compiling and producing an album that casts a light toward the Dunedin of today. Whether it is dark synth-pop, teen angst noise pop, guitar-and-organ jangle, or all-out psychedelic weirdness, these songs all come from a place on the edge of the world where the young still read books in abundance and fend off boredom by creating music and art in cold houses.

The International Vicious Society Vol 7

The craziest compilation of music from all over the world. This comp. collates a worldwide mixture of painfully obscure crud-a-phonic dance craze platters from the 50's and 60's. A brilliant & bonkers concoction of exotica, teenbeat, and international nonsense novelties. If you need something new to listen to after you've worn out yer Las Vegas Grind and Jungle Exotica records then this is for YOU! This platter will liven up any ole party! Lurch-eriffic teen crazes and totally daffy mix-n-match foreign language tracks that'll make your eyes & ears alike pop just like corn.

Lets Have A Party: Girls Gone Rockin' Vol. 2

Let’s Have A Party has proved to be one of the most popular titles in the Fantastic Voyage catalogue, and now we are pleased to present a 2LP vinyl limited edition, featuring 32 dancefloor-friendly cuts, selected from the 75-track 3CD set. Compiled and annotated by rock & roll authority Lucky Parker, Let’s Have A Party brings together some of the finest female singers, to prove that the girls can easily give the boys a run for their money in the rock & roll rug-cutting stakes.

Algo Salvaje Vol. 1

Spanish party rock makes up the runtime on 'Algo Salvaje Vol. 1', finally making the country's brand of spry garage rock official and accessible. 'Algo Salvaje' is a glimpse into the guitar tones and jangle pop of a country that has long been cultivating and developing its own scene and style.

Local Customs: Cavern Sound

Cavern Sounds was a subterranean recording studio in the Pixley limestone mine of Independence, Missouri, and operated between the years of 1967 and '73 (check out the trailer video for a clearer idea of what it was like), with various long-forgotten unknowns passing through its doors and cutting some explosive garage pop and rock'n'roll. Artists like Jaded, The Reactions, Mulligan, The Burlington Express...no, I've not heard of them either but the kind people at the Numero Group have trawled through the archives and found the 24 most exciting cuts to emerge from this mysterious studio.

Kollektion 01: Sky Records Compiled By Tim Gane

Hamburg's fine electronic label, known as Bureau B, wants to introduce itself. So begins the 'Kollektion' compilation series, which attempts to look at all the different genres and aesthetics the label has mastered. 'Kollektion 01: Sky Records' offers up many different types of loopy electronic sounds, as compiled by ex-Stereolab member Tim Gane. Krautrock 'n' roll!

Violet Poison
Non Sequitur

Francesco Baudazzi is a mover and shaker in the dark techno realm, having previously both run a label and performed under two different aliases (Obtane and the duo Violetshaped). His new project, Violet Poison, obscures his aggressions in raw production, ambiguous vocal samples and a heavily distorted sound -- Baudazzi claims to take influence from soundtrack prog rockers Goblin, though 'Non Sequitur' is really no frills techno.

And Justice For Y'all

One for the Electric Wizard & Sleep fans, this millenium straddling smoker's delight of a platter has never (unbelievably) had this full vinyl unleasing before. I mean, who can skin up properly on a fucking CD case yo? This looks like a proper bitching, classic chunk of stoner wax for the rabid chong-hound in your life. Or workplace. Easy dude, pass the roach! NO DON'T TEAR UP THE SLEEVE MAAAAAN!

Evil, hissing and ear-crackling black metal is on offer from 'Postsocial', a record that comes out of the genre's hallmarks but makes them even more extreme -- this is, if anything, harsh noise, a wall of impenetrable noise and a collection of wind tunnels blocking out any melody and leaving behind nothing more than an onslaught of piercing vocals. Wold continue to abstract black metal beyond the point of return.
