Spacemen 3
Dreamweapon

Dreamweapon by Spacemen 3 documents the time they played live in the foyer of Watermans Art Centre in Brentford at a screening of the Wim Wenders film Wings of Desire. The audience didn’t care for it too much but the 45 minute set of droning guitars will sure please fans of the band. This reissue includes outtakes from 1987 that were recorded in the lead up to the making of the Playing With Fire album. Double LP and CD, which comes in a fancy 6 panel card sleeve that the press release feels the need to tell us is shrink wrapped!

Spacemen 3
Recurring

Recurring was the final album by Spacemen 3, originally released in 1991. The duo of Pete Kember aka Sonic Boom and Jason Pierce had pretty much stopped collaborating with each other before the album was recorded. This meant half the album was recorded by Kember and half by Pierce. The only track they both played on was the cover of Mudhoney’s When Tomorrow Hits. Kember went carried on making music under the Sonic Boom moniker whilst Pierce left to form Spiritualized. Features the classic, Big City.

Taking Drugs To Make Music To Take Drugs To

Originally released as a bootleg, the recordings here known as Taking Drugs To Make Music To Take Drugs To are demo recordings from 1986, and they capture the nascent Spacemen 3 well on their way to becoming the psychedelic behemoths they ultimately were. This reissue, for CD and double LP, features remastered audio and is out on Space Age Recordings.

Spiritualized
Fucked Up Inside

'Fucked Up Inside' was initially a limited run record released to Spiritualized diehards in 1993, capturing his live show on record for the very first time. It coincided with the release of 'Lazer Guided Melodies', a notably minimalist entry in the Spirutalized discography. This reissue contains live performances of three songs from that record, as well as cuts from 'Pure Phase' and a Spaceman 3 cover, 'Walking With Jesus'.
