Albert Hammond Jr

Etchings, the new 10” from former Strokes Guitarist, Albert Hammond Jr. features two tracks from his new album Francis Trouble. The album, and the tracks here, deal with some heavy stuff as Albert Hammond Jr. explores the effects of having a stillborn twin brother on his life and work. Limited edition 10" on Red Bull Records.

‘90s American indie-rock heroes Belly are making a comeback. Their new album Dove will be released later this year, but before that arrives fans will be desperate to get their hands on Feel, a limited edition 10” single. This is the first new material in more than 20 years from Tanya Donnelly & Co. It will feature two tracks from the forthcoming album along with two exclusive tracks. Released for Record Store Day 2018. Limited edition splatter vinyl.

Emma Tricca
St. Peter

Emma Tricca’s first LP since 2014’s Relic is another record of delicate, dreamy folk-rock. Devendra Banhart and Jane Weaver spring to mind on tracks like the gorgeous, feathery ‘Julian’s Wings’. St. Peter also features a pretty star-studded credit reel - members of Sonic Youth, The Dream Syndicate and Paper Dollhouse all make appearances.

A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing

Classic renditions of German poems that have been previously released and (as some of you may have noticed) have sold out on all platforms....until now! This is a remaster of A Wolf In Sheep's Clothing sung by Josephine Foster with brand spanking new artwork. But act fast because this is limited to 1000 copies and will more than likely sell like popcorn in a cinema. Available on vinyl LP and released on Fire.  Note: The video used on this page is a sample of one of the same songs (An Die Musik) just with a different album art.

Tangerine Dream
Miracle Mile

Steve De Jarnatt's Miracle Mile is a niftily contained apocalypse movie in which our societal collapse takes place through one day/night cycle. The score was done by the usually chill Tangerine Dream, who ramped tension up through forty minutes of feverish synth phenomena. It's both a testament to the singular musical territory they were carving in the '80s and an emotive action movie booster.

The National
Boxer: Live In Brussels

Well, it's Boxer by the National, but live. In spite of album artwork that clearly indicates the band performing their music out at a respectable function hall, the original record was a studio undertaking. True. Now coloured in, that artwork makes true on its former lie because it's Boxer by the National, but live. In Brussels. Two weeks ago this was a Record Store Day release.

This Is The Kit
Wriggle Out The Restless

This Is The Kit are rising evermore, having released a cracking record of folk mythos in Moonshine Freeze. Back in 2010 they made this record called Wriggle Out the Restless which showed signs of their tender experiments, using banjos and horns to create a quietly earth-shattering fanfare. Worth revisiting.

Yung Wu
Shore Leave

Yung Wu! This brings back memories. They were an oddball side project of the Feelies led by their percussionist Dave Weckerman.  As it was produced by Feelies guitarists Glenn Mercer and Bill Million it sounds pretty much like the Feelies but with a more naive pop style with nods to the Modern Lovers and something of Daniel Johnston in Weckerman's rudimentary voice.
