Built To Spill
Ultimate Alternative Wavers

Originally released in 1993 on Seattle imprint C/Z records, 'Ultimate Alternative Wavers' has been remastered from the original tape masters and reissued on gold vinyl for Record Store Day. Marking the twentieth anniversary of this classic shoegazer/grunge band, their debut album can still hold it's own alongside bands like Ariel Pink and Parquet Courts whilst paying its respects to influences such as Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr and The Velvet Underground.

Insecto
Post Edit de un Cromosoma

Coming straight outta Chile, this UK debut from producer Jimmy Pizzaro re-imagines the classic Mille Plateaux "clicks and cuts" microbeat sound adding jazzy chords and lush arrangements to create a glistening modern day take on the micro-house genre.  This wonderfully packaged double LP will particularly appeal to fans of SND, Aphex Twin and early Mount Kimbie.

Mikal Cronin
MCIII

Prolific garage rock character and Ty Segall associate Mikal Cronin returns with his third proper solo record, its properness signified by the official-sounding title MCIII. It is also ‘proper solo’ in another sense, in that Cronin himself plays virtually every scrap of sound here himself, with the exception of a string quartet. Whaddaguy.

Mugstar / The Cosmic Dead
Split

A heavy astral fuzz leeks out of this split from Mugstar & The Cosmic Dead. Split features both bands tramitting there spacious vibes. Liverpool's Mugstar kick the record off with an 18 minute dive into the outer reaches of the cosmos, driving loops spuring this dark stoner-rock jam. Glaswegians The Cosmic Dead follow with a 20 minute journey propped up by funky basslines and spacey synths. Think Wooden Shjips vs NASA . Out on 12' vinyl from Evil Hoodoo.

The Drums
Encyclopedia

Brooklyn's surfiest indie pop band, The Drums, have been away for three years, but they're back with third record 'Encyclopedia', which was of course recorded at a summery lakeside cabin. Despite being known for making straightforward and catchy pop, Jacob Graham has excitedly described 'Encyclopedia' as "interesting and bizzare", though the duo retain their affection for jangly guitar riffs and slacker drums. The record is also the band's first without guitarist Connor Hanwick, who quit while touring 'Portamento'.   Tracks: Magic Mountain I Can’t Pretend I Hope Time Doesn’t Change Him Kiss Me Again Let Me Break My Heart Face of God US National Park Deep In My Heart Bell Labs There is Nothing Left Wild Geese

Tim Krog
The Boogeyman (Original 1980 Motion Picture Soundtrack)

The Boogeyman was, of course, a spooktacular slasher flick from 1980. And no such film from that time would be complete without a flash electronic soundtrack, which was provided here by Tim Krog. One Way Static have pressed up a new 180g black vinyl edition, in a run of 300 hand-numbered copies with obligatory obi strip. Features exact reproduction of the original chilling artwork plus an insert with in-depth liner notes.
