Too Free
Love in High Demand

Straight out of Washington (and that's DC not Tyne and Wear) are Too Free  - a three piece who feature ex members of Merchandise and Big Freedia. The trio use the landscape of their hometown to inspire kinetic and freewheeling avant dance-rock high in improvisation and low in tried and true structures. Forward thinking avant-dancefloor certainly with nods to Arthur Russell and Anohni (to these ears anyway).

Snail Mail
Habit

Following the success, both critically and commercially, of their fabulous debut album, Hush, Snail Mail have decided it’s time to guide you in the direction of one of their early EPs with the reissue of 2016’s Habit. Here, they’re a three piece, led as always by Lyndsey Jordan. Unfortunately, Alex Bass isn’t playing bass on this one. 6-track EP on Sister Polygon Records.

Priests
The Seduction Of Kansas

Priests made a big impression with their 2017 debut Nothing Feels Natural. The Washington DC post-punk band are back with their sophomore effort The Seduction Of Kansas. Here they added the influence of Massive Attack, Portishead and Nine Inch Nails to their post-punk base-layer. The result is a band with a more rounded sound. LP and CD on Sister Polygon.

Olivia Neutron-John
Olivia Neutron-John

Olivia Neutron-John - and what a name that is - finally drops a new LP. Coming a full five years after the lo-fi extravaganzas of INJURY TRAIN AND I'M NEVER GETTING OFF IT b/w VULNERABILITY, this eponymous record is another set of voyages in electronic post-punk and minimal synth. There’s a bit of a psychedelic flavour to tracks like ‘March’ too. Olivia Neutron-John is out via Sister Polygon (Priests, Downtown Boys).
