The Shildam Hall Tapes

The Shildam Hall Tapes come with a backstory that I haven’t the time to investigate the veracity of, but suffice to say that what is presented here is a set of fragments from multiple artists(?) such as Sproatly Smith, Field Lines Cartographer, The Heartwood Institute, giving off a hauntological kind of vibe. Straightforward CDr or CDr boxset with notes and stickers and badges available.

The Quietened Cosmologists

The Quietened Cosmologists is a reflection on space exploration projects that have been abandoned and/or that were never realised, of connected lost or imagined futures and dreams, the intrigue and sometimes melancholia of related derelict sites and technological remnants that lie scattered and forgotten. Available in the usual hand-finished Dawn and more lavish Night Editions, this compilation from A Year In The Country features the likes of; Field Lines Cartographer, Pulselovers, Magpahi, Howlround, Vic Mars, Unit One, A Year In The Country, Keith Seatman, Grey Frequency, Time Attendant, Listening Center, Polypores and David Colohan. Suffice to say that if you dig labels like Ghost Box, Folklore Tapes, Polytechnic Youth etc. then you really ought to check this out.
