Despite that super vintage-looking cover artwork, Puro Instinct are a group that exist in the here and now. They have a totally classic synth-pop sensibility, but every part of their sound is draped with shimmery shoegaze textures. Original Singles Collection 1979-1982 by Dead Kennedys is the essence of Dead Kennedys - boxed. This box set includes many of their classic singles, such as California Uber Alles, Holiday In Cambodia and Too Drunk To Fuck. These singles have been out of print for more than 20 years. Each 7” comes in its original sleeve and there is a 12 page booklet with interviews and liner notes.
Dream Letter - Live in London 1968 was Tim Buckley recorded live and at his best, at the QEH. 2 hours long, featured were 5 songs off ‘Goodbye And Hello’, 3 songs from ‘Happy Sad’, one included later on ‘Blue Afternoon’ and ‘Dolphins’, recorded much later -- as well as 6 songs unavailable elsewhere. Lee Underwood plays guitar and Pentangle’s bassist Danny Thompson was brought along. 3 LPs from Demon, with a nice long essay by Underwood and lyrics to every song in the set.
