Lauren Flax
One Man's House Is Another Woman's Techno

Lauren Flax lays out the tracks she has been working on for the past year, and wow what a treat. With a title as good as One Man’s House Is Another Woman’s Techno, this 12” is already ahead of the pack before being put on the turntable, but when you do it just gets better. Strong Detroit vibes tempered with lots of lashings of acid, this one is bound to go down well with any fan of The Bunker New York.

Marco Shuttle
The Moon Chant EP

The latest drop on The Bunker New York (Donato Dozzy, Gunnar Haslam) comes courtesy of returning hero Marco Shuttle. These three tracks on The Moon Chant demonstrate just why Shuttle is such a favourite down at The Bunker. This is a record of sleek, sexy NYC house that occasionally crosses over into acid - see closer ‘Curve Pericolose’ on that front.

Clay Wilson
Osho EP

Clay Wilson’s Osho lands on The Bunker New York with great gusto, delivering total power-groove to the dancefloor. And the 12” doesn’t let up either, following Osho with three more Osho’s, courtesy of Derek Plaslaiko, who goes Oogly Boogly, Jason Loveland, who gives a Twisted Interpretation, and rrao, who edits. Strong stuff. 12” vinyl.

Antemeridian
Ante Meridian EP

After releases on Long Island Electrical Systems and Silent Season under her Antenes moniker, Brooklyn-based-but-Chicago-raised producer Lori Napoleon switches the name up for her debut on NYC’s The Bunker (Gunnar Haslam, Justin Cudmore). Her Antemeridian work sees Napoleon steering a more melodic course through the club sounds of her native Midwest. One of the things that gives Ante Meridiem an edge is that Napoleon built a few of her synthesisers herself, and there’s a nice rough-and-ready feel to the sounds they produce - try the dark, keening closer ‘Lavender’.
