Trap 6
The Cycle

Trap 6 7" out on Hungry Kid Records is extremely poppy indie music. It's called The Cycle and they're obviously reasonably talented. At time the guitar reminds me of Spirit In The Sky though that's not wholly indicative of the fruits on offer here. In fact it's about 2 seconds of the song but it's the only bit I'm inspire...view item »

Rolling Dog
Fire! Fire! Fire!

The latest Hungry Kid 7" comes from Rolling Dog. I'm not sure how long I can sit and listen to these vocals. Right I've listened to it once and can clearly say that I never want to hear that man sing ever again. I just haven't the words in my vocabulary to tell you how much they grate on me. Clocks
That Much Better

There's a breakdown at the midway point, just to catch your breath.Yeah, of course it's gonna crash back in again, just like an over active kid ...view item »

Dustins Bar Mitzvah
The Ramones

Dustins Bar Mitzvah. A tribute to the Jewish screen god that is Mr. Hoffman p'haps? I never heard their last effort, 'Jimmy White', as a song about the merits of a pasty faced snooker playing Londoner with the worst hair in sport never quite appealed. Now we have 'To The Ramones'. The intro is spirited enough but JESUS! ...view item »
