Boards of Canada
Hi Scores

We’re always here for Boards Of Canada, and Hi Scores is a release that really shows off why that is. As only the duo’s second release, this 1996 number dates from when people where only just waking up to the BOC sound, and yet it contains such infinite wonders as ‘Turquoise Hexagon Sun’ and the deeply melancholy ‘Everything You Do Is A Balloon’. 2014 reissue edition.

Break Before Make

Manchester-based DJ and artist Henrietta Smith-Rolla’s Break Before Make album fuses body-jacking house, waves of dark electronica, techno and electro and gets a double-LP/CD released via the legendary Skam label. Afrodeutsche has been rocking dancefloors recently with her vision of electronic music rooted in Kraftwerk's blueprint via Detroit ala UR, Drexciya etc. hence her chosen handle.

North Manc Beds
GazOhmEater EP

North Manc Beds. What a name that is. As is GazOhmEater EP. I won't pretend to know what that means. Their music though, is like techno with a sense of humour. Crunchy and fun and filled with little thoughtful touches that show they know what they're doing. Inspired by the Pennines, and all the sounds they contain.

The Fear Ratio
Live E.P

The mighty Skam Records bring you this sweet little four tracker from Mark Broom & James Ruskin's Fear Ratio, what you get here is alternative versions of tracks from the 2015 Dead Albatross nominated album 'Refuge of A Twisted Soul' culled from rehearsals for live shows, of course it would't be a classic Skam release without the obligatory braille sticker on PVC sleeve.

Jega has been in the electronic scene from the mid ‘90s, having released albums on PLANET MU and here on Skam Records. He’s always produced warm, slowly pulsating electro and on this album, 1995, we return to the beginning with a collection of previously unreleased tracks from his debut. It’s a genuine slice of 1990’s electro and a gripping one at that.

The Fear Ratio
Refuge of a Twisted Soul

The Fear Ratio is a collaborative project between London techno DJ/producer Mark Broom and Croydon born techno producer James Ruskin. ‘Refuge Of A Twisted Soul’ is their latest release on Manchester based, independent, electro label Skam records. Combining the Balearic/Chicago and acid house influences of Broom with the hip hop/late 80’s Detroit inspired style of Ruskin, the pair have developed a soulfully heavy album.
