Hellfish & Bryan Fury
Baby Eaters

Who are these babies and what are they eating? It’s double trouble with Hellfish and Brian Fury, here showing us the importance of hyphens on their new single Baby Eaters. It’s a vibrant trip through some truly shocking, provocative hardcore techno - pummeling, crushed beats and grisly samples. Really radical stuff.

Rolando Simmons
World Building

Rolando Simmons finally gets his first full-length LP release -- on lovely 3-colour, marbled double vinyl no less -- and boy has it been worth the wait! The Swedish producer Mattias -- behind this music beloved of Aphex Twin and both their legions of fans -- has assembled 11 tracks packed with melody and melancholy, aching pads and grooving, punchy bass. World Building pulses with a beauty and squelchy character all its own, from its foundations up, and we here at Norman are excited!

dgoHn
So Be It, Lumbricina

Beatmaster dgoHN is back with third single “So Be It, Lumbricina” out on Love Love records, and it’s a rollicking exploration of blissed-out drum ‘n’ bass. Deep grooves, meaty basslines and funk-fuelled jams weave through the record, seamlessly moving between controlled chaos and skin-prickling euphoria.

Ruby My Dear
Basic

This is an absolute techno record that sounds as if it could be off a game on the PlayStation in the 90's - fast and rhythmic from Ruby My Dear entitled Basic. This record isn't at all basic, because there are some points that are incredibly manic, but maybe that's the whole point of the name? Available on a 12" white vinyl EP.

Henge
Cosmic Dross

The constituent parts of Henge are Zpor, Nom, Goo, and UmYumYum. I’ve failed to glean any geographical specifics beyond “Earth”, and it’s unclear whether the band are native or extraterrestrial visitors, but this debut EP is on Colchester’s Love Love Records. It displays a very eclectic and playful slant on psychedelic rock that takes in cosmic synth workouts, dalek-voiced electropop, jerky Primus-style jamming, surf guitar, fake klezmer and whatever whimsy Zpor and co’s stoned impulses demand.

Gareth Clarke
Caviar

On his first outing for Love Love Records, second-wave nuttah Gareth Clarke comes thru with a bunch of hyper-jungle that will send the eyes rolling to the back of your head. The maximalist approach and day-glo synth lines recall Galaxy Garden-era Lone and 2015’s Star Eyes EP ‘Hardest Now’, and there is something of Special Request to the knowing nudge-and-a-wink rave breaks that pepper ‘Caviar’ and ‘Curtsy’. Out on CD and good value at that.

dgoHn
All the Fuckin' As

Rapid-fire jungle from dgoHn. All the Fuckin’ As is a highly technical amen work-out full of tearaway breakbeats and subtle production tics. The whole vinyl 12” has a creepy sci-fi vibe that’s helped by Scrase’s remix on the B-side. Love Love Records have pressed this to white wax with some nice dystopian artwork.

Scrase
Another

Twinned with 'Heart', his other, warmer slice of ambient house, Scrase has released 'Another', an EP that takes a more sinister turn, abandoning the kindly, natural atmospheres for aggressive acoustic percussion and eerie layers of sound that wouldn't be out of place on an Amon Tobin record. 'Another' sees Scrase try to make his minimal, sparse basslines terrifying; "Movon", in particular, is indicative of the EP's intentions, containing fleeting and ominous percussion with loud alarming synths.    Tracks: Perc 12 Another Perc 13 Movon Another  Perc 16

Scrase
Heart

Greg Scrase's pioneering house music is given a backdrop of warm electronica and ambient on 'Heart', which is being released on Love Love Records alongside its darker, more sinister twin EP, 'Another'. 'Heart', layered with an onslaught of different sounds, textures and vocals, is given a surprisingly upifting vibe. Along Scrase's three tracks comes a remix of "Flyover" from David Monolith (take the vowels out of his name and you get MNLTH, his alter-ego).    Tracks: Heart Ice Exploration Party Flyover Flyover (MNLTH Remix)

Anklepants
SPEEK YOU LITTLE RE-ƒacéé

Buy this for your friends to enjoy their reaction to the frankly unsettling cover! But then also listen to SPEEK YOU LITTLE RE-facéé, so as to bring the dance into your friend’s home. This 12” from Anklepants contains two 10-minute plus tracks that bring the skewed sensibility of that cover to vocal-driven bangers. Yeah!
