Jerkcurb
Air Con Eden

Air Con Eden is the debut album by Jerkcurb, AKA, Jacob Read. The album is the culmination of critical and commercial success that has seen his songs be streamed millions of times and him play a session on BBC 6 Music for Tom Ravenscroft. Lyrically the album focuses on Read’s real life events with occasional fictitious garnish, whilst musically, Richard Hawley, Blue Velvet and Arctic Monkey’s Tranquility Base & Casino give an idea of where he’s heading.

Grace Lightman
Silver Eater

Judging by the cover of Grace Lightman’s debut LP, it would appear that the title - Silver Eater - is to be taken literally. While it’s not exactly good practice to eat silver or encourage others to do so, things pick up when you get past that bit and on to the music. This is electro-pop at once poised and off-kilter. Silver Eater is not dissimilar to St. Vincent’s recent output.

Grace Lightman
Fangs

The Handsome Dad roster are a tight-knit bunch. If you currently (13/07/17) go to the YouTube video for Grace Lightman’s ‘Fangs’, the top comment comes from label-mates Jerkcurb and reads ‘really good’. And you know what, they’re right - ‘Fangs’ is a well-executed bit of psych-pop, and Lightman’s way with melody is unusual and engaging.

A House In The Trees
What Am I Supposed To Do EP

The label is actually literally sincerely called Handsome Dad Records and they're putting out this EP from A House In the Trees, a band who make dance music. The audacity. Using textures ambient and structures pop, they come up with something of a Portishead concoction, leading us down pathways both ominous and lovely.
