Rubadub Vinyl, CD & tapes from this label at Norman Records
You know this’ll be good… Kowton and Parris collaborating on a chunky slice of low-slung pulse and wobble. It's even called Deep Concentration, capturing a sense of how these masters must be at work. It's a collaborative track, but you get it in two versions, one mixed by each producer. 12” on Rubadub.
Glasgow production duo Naum Gabo made up of Jonnie Wilkes of Optimo and mastering engineer James Savage are a strong team with releases on Kompakt, Correspondant and Fright records. The title track sounding like something the Modified Toy Orchestra would make if they made a techno album, bit crushing and clanky lo-fi in high definition, and the reverse bringing big synth stabs and a garage groove.
Shawlands Arcade’s two newest tracks are out on Rubadub, the Glaswegian label who’ve brought us stacks of the good stuff over the years (Model 500, cv313…). RAD-ZOD1 cuts straight to the peak-hour club core with thrusting bass and relentless drum pads. Plus, one of the tracks is called ‘The Bro-House Anthem’! Not really for bro’s though...

Under the pet-like moniker Sparky, Dave Clark takes a Drexyia-tinged sub-aquatic journey through deepest, darkest techno. Cut straight to tape way back in 1994, Tapes is a unique historical document of a true shapeshifting legend. Out on 12” vinyl from Rubadub. Limited hand stamped white label edition.
