The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band
The New Sound Of Siam

The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band have, of late, been the subject of what has been dubbed the ‘21st Century Molam’ project. Here, on The New Sound Of Siam, an original LP track from the Band is presented alongside a ‘Disco Dub’ reworking by Nick Manasseh and wild electronic take from Rabih Beaini aka Morphosis. Damn.

Dao Bandon
Lae Pattana Baan Meuang

Some more molam funk from Paradise Bangkok on this 7" vinyl. On the A side Dao Bandon wails in his distinctive vocal styling's, aided by some tight horns and driving rhythm section. On the flip side, Warin Shinaraj weaves her mysterious lament over a sensual oboe, delivering a haunting groove. This is some enigmatic R&B. Limited to 500.

Onuma Singsiri
Lam Plearn Maeng Tub Tao

Some vintage Asian bangers on this 7" reissue from Paradise Bangkok. Onuma Singsiri sounds like Thailand's answer to William Onyeabor, with some cosmic synths and disjointed driving percussion. Yupin Praethong's hypnotic serenade with the spooky guitar and violin set up this trippy funk. Limited to 500.
