Blackball Vinyl, CD & tapes from this label at Norman Records
It’s 2018 now, and with Jawbreaker back on the wagon after two decades in the sun, what better time to reacquaint yourself with the group? That said, if you’re not ready to dive back into the melee of Unfun or Bivouac just yet, maybe try this collection of B-sides and rarities to get the juices flowing. Among other things, Etc. features a medley of songs by U2, The Misfits and The Vapors called ‘With Or Without U2’, which is obviously great.

Cheeky emo punks Jawbreaker originally released '24 Hour Revenge Therapy' in 1994, as the follow-up to their sophomore effort Bivouac. Once again, the Jawbreaker combination is in full effect on this record, the whole party resting on the witty, self-deprecating lyricism of Blake Schwarzenbach and their raw, unhinged presentation through crashing guitars and drums. '24 Hour Revenge Therapy' is a fine document from one of the most underrated pop-punk bands of the 90s.

pOrch hail from Oakland, California and like to subversively put their capital letters in the wrong place. The band play experimental, noisy, math punk. Walking Boss, which now sees a 180g blue vinyl pressing, was originally released in 2013. It was recorded by Tim Green whose CV boasts such recording and engineering credits as The Melvins and The Fucking Champs. He was the natural choice for this record.

Poor Jawbreaker. In a parallel universe, right now, they'd be heralded as the kings of pop-punk and despised by authentic punk fans as enemies of the state. As it stands they have a niche following and hardcore kids like them; their orgcore went from strength to strength with Chesterfield King, an EP of certifiable emo jams that acts as a nice supplement for your Jawbreaker record of choice, be it 24 Hour Revenge Therapy or Dear You.
