Public Service Broadcasting
Live at Brixton

Documented for posterity is the time some guys threw a load of samples over some so-so post rock and called it good. But something very remarkable indeed happened. Lots of people actually liked these vignettes and subsequently poured into the Brixton Academy to watch it all performed live. You can now re-live the sights, the sounds and the smells as the band rocked the Academy to it's very foundations in an event that has in some circles been compared to the time the Beatles rocked Shea Stadium.

Public Service Broadcasting
Sputnik / Korolev

Everyone’s favourite modern history sample duo, Public Service Broadcasting are back with a new EP, Sputnik/Korolev. Sputnik is taken from their successful second album, The Race For Space. Korolev is a brand new track, propulsive and built around a muscular riff. On CD and 12” Vinyl both formats feature remixes by Blond:ish, Petar Dundov, Eagles & Butterflies and Plugger.

Go!

Single the second from The Race For Space, itself the second album from Keep-Calm-And-Mine-The-Past-For-Retro-Samples duo Public Service Broadcasting. Go! has their usual driving guitary-motorik-electronica sound (a good sound to be fair), with audio from the 1969 moon landings. 7” backed by a remix from Errors!

Public Service Broadcasting
The Race For Space / Remixes

In news that gladdens all of our hearts, Britain's worst band* get the remix treatment from lots of actual good bands. Field Music, Dutch Uncles, Maps, Vessels and others take the cash to try and bring some interest to the post rock/lazily slapped on samples. Probably the final nail in the coffin for music as we know it but an alarming number of otherwise sane and good tasted people are fully on board with this lot and find our despair unfathomable.Maybe it's just us.  *maybe

Public Service Broadcasting
The Other Side

Our absolute favourite band of all time bar none 100% come through with that RSD picture disc we've all been waiting for. It's a 7" (why not 8?) of "The Other Side", the climax from sample-addicted 'The Race For Space' and you'd better be ready to learn a thing or two about the past, via the medium of rock, on a tiny record.

Public Service Broadcasting
The Race For Space

Second album of history footage-plundering workouts from Public Service Broadcasting. They are like the anti-hauntology. On The Race For Space the theme is the space race, though the players retain their Wrigglesworth and Willgoose monikers. Has this thing got legs? Find out on vinyl, limited indies-only vinyl, or compact disc.
