Current 93
The Moons At Your Door

Brand new material from erstwhile avant-mystiks Current 93. The Moons At Your Door will accompany the anthology of David Tibet’s writings of the same name (coming soon), and contains two side-long tracks of deep mystique. CD or white vinyl edition, each version containing unique artwork by Tibet himself. Released by The Spheres.

If A Star Turns Into Ashes

David Tibet announces the release of a new Current 93 album in typically odd fashion, and also gives the album some typically odd quirks. If A Star Turns Into Ashes will be released as a limited run of 1000 picture discs in clear PVC sleeves. There will be 500 with a reproduction of a painting by David Tibet and 500 with a reproduction of a painting by him. This may mean that they’re all the same - but they're  not, they're different colours. Oh David! The album also has an untitled track on each side.

Current 93
Thunder Perfect Mind

'Thunder Perfect Mind' is a folk opus by Current 93. Although it's intimidatingly long, with sixteen tracks, one of which is over ten minutes long, the group's twelfth album is still engaging and unnerving. Wikipedia lists it as 'apocalyptic folk' and I can't do much better than that. It's the first time the LP has been released on vinyl since its first pressing way back in 1992. Out on Spheres.

Current 93
Invocations Of Almost

The press release suggests Current 93 have dreamt their latest album, Invocations Of Almost, but I can assure you that it exists in the physical world too. The music here is made to accompany David Tibet’s art exhibition. In a typical Current 93-style move the CD version contains 59 minutes of music as Tibet turns 59 years old. The vinyl edition is slightly shorter in duration.

Swastikas For Noddy / Crooked Crosses For The Nodding God

Current 93, the perpetual post-industrial rabble rousers, have a record out named Swastikas For Noddy / Crooked Crosses For The Nodding God. Take that, childhood loves! David Tibet has no time for your sentimentalism. This 1986 double album is a classic Current 93 release, perfectly reissued by The Spheres.

Current 93
Soft Black Stars

Soft Black Stars was he 15th album by folk-based experimentalists Current 93. Originally released in 1998, the album came 15 years into the band’s career. This remastered 2LP reissue features two additional versions of closing track Chewing On Shadows, never before released on vinyl. For the curious and uninitiated, Antony & The Johnsons recorded their own version of the title track for their I Fell In Love With A Dead Boy EP. Double LP on The Spheres.

The Light Is Leaving Us All

David Tibet's never-ending Current 93 project continues to do its thing with The Light Is Leaving Us All, another foray into the deep web of psych folk that will most likely shake you to your very core. An interesting lineup characterises this one, including Nurse With Wound's Andrew Liles, renowned contemporary pianist Reinier van Houdt and folk songwriter Alasdair Roberts. Plus others, just in time for the Halloween season.

The Stars On Their Horsies

Current 93 continue their near-40 year experimental musical journey by scoring a pair of group founder and only constant member, David Tibet’s recent nightmares. Their umpteenth album, The Stars On Their Horsies is one long song clocking in at precisely 39 minutes and 39 seconds. CD on The Spheres.
