Frøkedal
How We Made It

Second LP from Grammy-nominated Norwegian Frøkedal here. How We Made It is one of those folksy twee-pop things that Scandinavians tend to excel at. The press release says that this album is more instrumentally diverse and less reliant on acoustic instruments than her debut full-length Hold On Dreamer, but a quick listen to that album suggests that they’re about equal on that front. Basically if you liked the first one then you’ll like this one too.

Hanne Hukkelberg
Trust

Trust is the long awaited fifth album from Nordic electronic sound artist Hanne Hukkelberg. A nine-track collection of fine easy listening dance tracks that almost sound like they could be on in some indie dance club somewhere in the world. Hukkelberg’s vocals are, once again, on point on this release by ‘Propeller Recordings’ and is available on Vinyl LP and CD.

Slotface
Try Not To Freak Out

Slotface present their debut full-length album to the world, riding the wave of the attention and excitement they’ve recently been generating. Try Not To Freak Out has the hugeness of a modern commercial rock record, but also the melodic gnarliness of some of the nineties’ best rock work. It’s out on Propeller Recordings, with CD and LP editions available.
