Joy O
81b

Joy O(rbison) drops another joint on his own Hinge Finger label. 81b may or may not be named as such because a fair few of the tracks have a bit of a Swamp 81 vibe to them, but that they most certainly do. Cuts like ‘SEED’ and ‘BELLY’ are particularly Pearson Sound-esque. The rest of the EP is characterised by foggy dub techno and obtuse electronica.

Tom Of England
The Care To Destroy EP

Some funky disco house from moniker-hopping STD Production boss Thomas Bullock, this time going as Tom of England for Hinge Finger. The title track is a pretty glorious cover of The Sex Pistols’ ‘Anarchy in the UK’, leading from church bells into a heavy, vintage disco sound with energetic, kindly vocals.

Peder Mannerfelt
Black Holes, Or How We Lost Solidarity

Adventurous sonic Swede Peder Mannerfelt, who has produced work as Subliminal Kid and Roll The Dice as well as alongside Fever Ray, has a new EP out of own-name work. Black Holes, Or How We Lost Solidarity moves forward relentlessly on techno rails, garnished with heavy industrial / jungle extra percussion. Weighty. 12” on Hinge Finger.

Barnt
His Name

No info at all on this but from the sounds of a clip I'm listening to it's low end but lush techno gear with a kind of house-y feel. Big thumping low end and oddball samples. Minimal techno from respected German dude with fingers in pies and 1300+ likes on Facebook. That's more than us and we're a company.
