DJ Stingray
Psyops for Dummies + Purge

Having pioneered the Detroit techno scene for no less than twenty years now, DJ Stingray bolsters his beefy catalogue with the abrasive and adrenaline-fuelled Psyops for Dummies + Purge. Whilst his face is masked during DJ sets, the experimentalism and boldness of this offering is anything but.

Theo Burt
Gloss

Gloss by electronic wizard of weird Theo Burt was never meant to be heard by anyone other than those close to him but Presto!? label boss Lorenzo Senni was quite insistent that it should be heard by everyone. Theo Burt has previously released the album Summer Mix under the name The Automatics Group but goes namestyle on this record of computo-pop.

Gabor Lazar
ILS

Through the schizophrenic beeps and buzzers and frantic synthesizers, there is a pattern. Like a sculptor with a large chunk of marmer, Gabor Lazar tries to recognize and extract beauty from the massive. ILS is a challenging piece of work that raises quite a few questions about aesthetics, and the boundaries of what we call music.

Palmistry
Lil Gem

From South London musician/producer Palmistry (AKA Benjy Keating) ‘Lil Gem’ has a soundtrack quality that’s composed of weird melodies, obtuse samples, warm, deep synthesised tom sounds and cool retro drum machine sounding hand-claps with echoey, nostalgic arpeggiated rhythms creating a visual and dreamy ambient sound.
