EarToGround Vinyl, CD & tapes from this label at Norman Records
Big, peak-hours techno tracks here from Ness, an Italian producer evidently stepping up to big things. Two Hours Before Neptune seems to have been road-tested to perfection: these tracks press all the right buttons for eager dancers. By all means listen at home, but this stuff will really start to make sense behind the decks. 12” release on EarToGround.
Gareth Wild runs the EarToGround label, but don’t allow that to make you think that this release is out there due to anything other than merit. Wild has a firm control over his Techno constructions, laying out the four-four and the wobbly synth bubbles with expert precision. Precision Device indeed. Includes remixes from UVB and Aiken.
London label EarToGround with their first release from German techno duo dualit. Four tracks and two locked grooves (so you can listen to the brutal beat forever), the shuffling brittle rhythms are combined with enough dynamic range and out-there weirdness to keep everyone happy. The label’s last release of 2014 with real nice front and back artwork.

The London-based Cleric makes the kind of techy house that worms its way into your head by sheer force of will, with beats that dominate proceedings and force out any chance of a melody, occasionally interrupted by kicks and screeching ambient washes. There's some more traditional dance cuts in the mix too, though they stay chilling. These four new tracks are strangely epic, making up the wonderfully unnerving 'Synthetic Tales'.
Getting down in the dungeon with Dax J. Sephora is the Londoners newest set of tech despoilers. Tumping from the outset, the A side beings with some wonked out wrong'un sounds and hench percussion, and moves through to darker extraterrestrial communications. The B side lays waste to the big room, with Emmanuel lending a helping hand on the acid paranoia of "Tunnels". Out on 12" vinyl from EarToGround.
