Complete Walkthru

Complete Walkthru is the alias of Max McFerren who makes weird, glacial cyber-IDM. His debut record 'Scrolls' is chock-a-block with dense rhythms, ambient pads, and post-digital anxiety. It deals with themes of privacy and gentrification within a hyper-digital world. His YouTube channel is an interesting watch, where he live-streams his Ableton sessions; perhaps if he's concerned about privacy he shouldn't be doing that...

NV Auto

The latest Numbers drop surfaces courtesy of newcomer Perko. On NV Auto the Scottish-born, Denmark-based Perko manages to do the impossible and breathe new life into the flagging sound of revivalist rave. The halcyon glow of a tune like ‘Rounded’ is toughened up with influences from UK garage, dub techno and the soundsystem innovations of Peverelist, Young Echo et al. We expect there's more to come from this fella.

Lory D
Strange Days Vol.3

Some sonic mood construction from Lory D. Strange Days Vol.3 is the next instalment from the Italian producer. Pumping out his own brand of darkly italo tinged techno, these two tracks of full of acidic synthesizers, squelchy bass lines and jacking kicks, hats and snares. Lory knows how to get the intensity out on the floor. Out on 12" vinyl from Numbers.

Peder Mannerfelt

Fresh from a release on Joy Orbison/Will Bankhead’s Hinge Finger, Peder Mannerfelt hops over to Jackmaster’s Numbers for three curious slabs of sort-of-techno. The title track recalls the best bits of late-90s Eurodance as well as Peaches at her most brazen. Very cool record with a very cool screen-printed sleeve.

Redinho is funky fellow with an interest in all things... well, in all things.  His tunes are washed in bright sustained synths and bombastic percussion, taking influence from the sounds procured by artists working in grime and hip-hop. Whatever he's making, Redinho is maximal, sounding like a one man big band. Most of this self-titled effort is framed around '80s funk with programmed drums that lay in wait while the rest of the party pops off.
