Furnace of Guts

Lancashire born electronic producer Sam Shackleton has tried his hand at various musical styles in his time. He ranged from school punk bands to dancehall duos before settling on becoming an electronic whizz and label owner. Furnace of Guts is Shackleton’s latest 12” slice of spacey dance music on his own Woe To The Septic Heart label.

Shackleton With Anika
Behind The Glass

Heavyweight killer collaboration between dread bass magician Shackleton and icy-eyed chanteuse Anika! Behind The Glass bristles with deep sonics, complex rhythms and Anika’s dramatically-delivered monologue. Really, if you know either of these two musicians, you should know that this is a special opportunity not to be missed. Out on Shackleton’s Woe To The Septic Heart label.

Deliverance Series No 3

Shack’s back with the third edition of the Deliverance Series. Released on Shackleton’s own Woe To The Septic Heart label, the informatively titled Deliverance Series No. 3 is two cuts of rhythmically intriguing minimalism, rattling and repeating to create an eerie soundworld in which to submerge yourself. Out on 12” vinyl.

Deliverance Series No 1

First in a series of three 12”s released on Shackleton’s own Woe To The Septic Heart label. Initially heard last year, Deliverance Series No. 1 is a typically heavy polyrhythmic excursion, both tracks tunnelling deep into the consciousness of the listener. A clear demonstration of how Shackleton has acquired the reputation he has today: no-one makes them quite like this.

Deliverance Series No 2

Intense techno maker and recent addition to the enigmatic Devotional Songs with Ernesto Tomasini, Shackleton returns with the second offering from the Deliverance Series project on his own Woe To The Septic Heart label. Deliverance Series No. 2 is two experimental workouts of rhythmically diverse minimalism complete with enough groove and bounce to get that toe a tappin'. Out on 12” vinyl.
