Shock Vinyl, CD & tapes from this label at Norman Records
The 3rd and final release in the Shock EP series sees former UK noise rock baron Stefan Jaworzyn tearing up synths and samples instead of guitars and basses. Full of looped stutter, etherial melody and angry high frequency hiss, these 2 tracks lie close to Christian Fennesz's recent album Becs, despite the label's claim that side 2 is a "commercial dance floor" tune.
Eaten Away By Shadows delves into the archives of Stefan Jaworzyn circa 1982-1983. During this time he was playing in bands like Whitehouse and Skullflower, and with that in mind there is surprisingly little in the way of far-right and/or abuse imagery. Actually this compilation is a more or less even split between noisy jams and jams with beats: the stuff sounds good!
