These Newcastle guys have been amassing an impressive discography since their inception in 1996 with releases on Hospital Productions, Turgid Animal, Blackest Rainbow, DNT, Low Point, Heavy Tapes etc. They open with 'Golden Sailor Afraid' which is an extended bleak drone number with distant metallic percussion and all round doomy, foggy vibes. When I first heard this I could have sworn that the sound was a sample of a studio audience applause being stretched out but now I'm not so sure.
