Say Sue Me
Where We Were Together

A charming LP from four-piece Say Sue Me here. While they call the South Korean city of Busan home, Say Sue Me’s sound is full of throwbacks to various 90s indie stylings. Grunge, shoegaze, twee-punk and more are recalled on the band’s second album, though the group singing in their native language puts a new twist on these well-worn genres. Excellent songwriting and sprightly playing characterises songs like ‘B Lover’ and ‘Old Town’.

Shonen Knife

Kurt Cobain’s favourite Japanese all-girl three-piece Shonen Knife are back with Overdrive, their 20th album since forming in 1981. The album is inspired by founding member Naoko Yamano’s love for 70s hard rock bands such as Thin Lizzy and Deep Purple. Overdrive is available on vinyl and CD.
